Dons Trust members are to vote on changes to the club’s badge. The club want the badge to align more closely and consistently with club branding before moving to the new stadium. Two versions of the new crest have been presented to Trust members, who have until 5.00pm on Friday 12 April to register their preference. Trust members will have voting forms delivered via e-mail or post over the next few days. The change will be discussed at a Dons Trust SGM on Wednesday 17 April (7.30pm at Kingsmeadow).
Tickets for Luton away are now on general sale. This is an all-ticket fixture, so you cannot purchase on the day of the game. Originally scheduled for Easter Monday, the game has been moved to Tuesday 23 April, kick-off 7.45pm, and we have been given an initial allocation of 700. For tickets, click this link.
Steve Seddon should be fit to commence training on Thursday. He has been nursing a slight ankle knock, but club physio Stuart Douglas says the Birmingham loanee will be fine for Saturday.
Kevin Bond has been appointed Southend manager until the end of the season. The 61-year-old fills the vacancy left after Chris Powell was sacked last week. Bond has extensive experience as an assistant manager, chiefly for Harry Redknapp, but his only managerial roles in English football were with Bournemouth, between 2008 and 2010, and a very brief stint as caretaker manager at QPR in 2015.
AFC Wimbledon Ladies have appointed Kevin Foster as interim manager. He takes over from Chris Lyons, who has parted company with the club after five years as first-team boss. Foster, who has previously worked at Wimbledon as a coach, joins from Walton Casuals Ladies.
Tommy Wood has been nominated for Burgess Hill Town’s Player of the Month award. The striker joined the Isthmian Premier side on loan in early March, and has scored three goals in as many games: a debut goal at Kingstonian, and a brace against Merstham.
