We have a new badge! It was revealed at last night’s Dons Trust SGM that the new crest will have blue text within the shield of the badge. Other highlights from the meeting included: the release of an impression of the current ‘phase one’ stadium build, with implications that the the temporary stands will be similar to those at Bournemouth’s Dean Court Stadium; the news that there will be a pub in the main stand, as part of a ‘fan zone’ area open to all fans; the official introduction of Joe Palmer as our new CEO; and the announcement of more Meet The Manager events throughout the season. The motion in relation to the stadium museum was withdrawn.

Wally Downes has confirmed we have a fully fit squad for tomorrow. Speaking to the official club web site, Wally praised all those working hard for him to have everyone ready for selection for the run-in.

Joe Palmer is the club’s new Chief Executive Officer. Joe has been Chief Operating Officer for the past 18 months, and it was expected he would take on the role of CEO once Erik Samuelson stepped down. In a statement on The Dons Trust web site, Joe said: “I always knew this club was different but it was only when I actually came here that I realised just how special it was.”

There is a Dons Trust Special General Meeting this evening. Scheduled for a 7.30pm start at Kingsmeadow, topics on the agenda include: meet the manager sessions; the museum at the new stadium; the new badge; and a stadium update, with images of what the ground will actually look like. The Development team beat Cheltenham 3-1 this afternoon. Andy Barcham, Jake Jervis, and Kwesi Appiah scored our goals in a comfortable win at Merstham FC, in which the under-18 duo of right-back Huseyin Biler and centre-half Reuben Collins earned praise for the quality of their performance. Deji Oshilaja and Tyler Burey, our correspondent’s pick for man-of-the-match, also featured in a side captained by Tom Soares.

Will Nightingale wants to impose a new Crazy Gang era at the club. Speaking to The League Paper, Will says: “There is a bit of that old spirit here … the aura and the way they look at things and think has rubbed off.”

Good Friday’s match is sold out. The club have confirmed that no more tickets are available for our crucial home game against Bristol Rovers, however there is a waiting list you can join for potential season ticket returns. Contact the club to add your name to the list.

Aaron Ramsdale praised the team’s resilience at Oxford on Saturday. Speaking to the official club web site, Aaron commented: “It was a great point on the road … we could have caved-in and not picked up anything. The lads showed great fight and we’ve ground out a very good point.”
